Nina Cherney lives and
works in Montreal, Quebec. After a first career in business and law,
she returned to her first love of painting , attending Concordia University
where she majored in painting and drawing. Nina is represented by galleries
in Montreal, Ottawa and St-Sauveur. Her work has appeared in both solo
and group shows and can be found in many private collections.
“I
work in acrylic, creating abstracted still-lifes that reflect my sense
of joy and fun. My work is all about celebration, inspired by the routine
of preparing meals and coming together around the table at the end
of the day. The wonky perspectives and shapes and vivid colors mirror
the mostly happy chaos of our daily lives.”
